Love Bytes goes to Colorado

'She Loves Me NOT' featuring baritone Andrew Garland (PG-13)

“Featuring SPECIAL GUEST baritone ANDREW GARLAND, ‘She Loves Me Not’ is Sohap’s Anti-Valentine’s Day-themed Listeners’ Club Session. Featuring hilarious music by Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Gabriel Kahane, William Bolcom, and more. If you are single and eating ice-cream on the couch for Valentine’s Day, this concert is for you! (Couples in love are welcome, too, but may be booed). PARENTAL GUIDANCE ADVISED.”

Born out of the 2020 global pandemic and national unrest, the ‘Something’s Happening Ensemble’ – or ‘Sohap’ – is a Colorado-based creative start-up dedicated to presenting excellent performances of new and underrepresented music. https://sohapensemble.com/about

Their online Listeners’ Club presents a FREE monthly musical event, and I’m delighted to say that the mini-opera ‘Love Bytes’, which I wrote for the Tete a Tete Opera Festival 2012 with composer Cheryl Frances Hoad, will be included in their Anti-Valentine’s Day online recital on Friday 12th February (6.30pm Colorado time).
