Alligator Train

Composer, Orlando Gough. ‘Alligator Train’ – a commission from the Royal Opera House Education department, for an original contribution to their family concert series ‘Music, Myths and Monsters’.

A singer and an 8-piece New Orleans-style jazz band (intended to perform as a traditional marching band, in the shape of a crocodile) transfer the urban myth of alligators lurking in the New York sewers to London’s Piccadilly Line.  Known affectionately to its creators as ‘The A Train: A Greener Way to Travel’.
